Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Law Offices of Maro Burunsuzyan, A Professional Law Corporation handles information collected through marolaw.com.

Scope of this notice

This notice covers website visitors and initial inquiries. Information handled during a legal representation is also subject to the firm’s professional duties and engagement terms. Nothing in this notice limits protections that apply to clients or prospective clients.

Information you provide

Our inquiry forms ask for your name, telephone number, an optional email address, the general type of matter, and a brief description. Appointment requests may also include a preferred day and time. We also receive information you choose to provide when you call, email, or ask for privacy or accessibility assistance. We use it to review your request, assess whether we can assist, and communicate with you.

Please provide only a general description at first. Do not submit medical records, Social Security numbers, financial account details, identification documents, or other confidential or highly sensitive material through the website. Ask the firm how to provide documents securely if they are needed. Sending an inquiry does not by itself establish an attorney-client relationship.

Technical information and website services

When you visit, our hosting and security providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, and request times to deliver the website, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse. The inquiry service also uses a temporary identifier derived from an IP address to limit repeated submissions.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Form submissions are sent through Resend to the firm’s Microsoft 365 email system for review. These providers process the information needed to host, secure, deliver, or store those communications. The website is not a client document portal.

Maps, cookies, and tracking

The footer contains an embedded Google Map. When it loads, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address, browser information, and the referring page and may use cookies or similar technologies. Google may associate this information with other activity according to your settings and its Privacy Policy. Third-party services may collect information about online activity over time and across different websites.

As of the date below, we do not use Google Analytics or Google Ads tags on this website. We do not sell inquiry information or use it for targeted advertising. Hosting, security, and embedded services may still use cookies or similar technologies for their functions.

You can limit cookies and third-party content through your browser settings; this may affect features such as the map. The address and telephone number are also available as text. The website does not currently change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. This disclosure does not limit privacy rights you may have under applicable law.

How we use and disclose information

  • To receive, evaluate, and respond to inquiries and requests.
  • To operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website.
  • To prevent spam, fraud, and other misuse.
  • To meet applicable legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations.

Information may be available to authorized firm personnel and service providers supporting website operations, email, security, and technical support. We may also disclose information with your direction or consent, or when permitted or required by law to respond to legal process, protect rights or safety, or obtain professional advice. Any disclosure remains subject to applicable confidentiality duties.

Retention and security

Inquiry emails and related records may remain in the firm’s email and recordkeeping systems after an initial response. Retention depends on the request, whether representation follows, applicable duties, security needs, and potential disputes. A request to delete information may be limited by those obligations; we do not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.

The website uses HTTPS to encrypt communications in transit. No online transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please use the firm’s contact details below to report a privacy concern and avoid including sensitive case details in that report.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may call or email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted through the website, or to ask about its use. Identify your request and provide a way to contact you; do not send identity documents unless we arrange a suitable method. We may verify your identity or authority before acting. We will review requests under applicable law, explain relevant limitations, and preserve information when legal or professional duties require it. You may also ask us not to follow up on an inquiry.

Children and visitors outside the United States

This site is intended for adults seeking legal services, including parents or guardians seeking help for a child. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information directly, contact us so we can review and address it.

The firm operates in California. Information submitted to us is processed in the United States and may also be processed where our service providers operate; privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Changes to this notice

We will post revisions on this page and update the date below the introduction. For material changes, we will also provide a prominent website notice or other notice when required by law. Changes do not override protections required by applicable law.
